January 2020 - Red Notice

The next book club meeting will be January 14, 2020.     Enjoy the holidays!




January's book is Red Notice by Bill Browder.  We don't have a book club set for this one, so everyone has to find their own copy.

You can borrow one from the Toronto Public Library or buy a copy at Chapters-Indigo or on Amazon.

November 2019 - A Man Called Ove


No sooner have we finished with October's book then here we are madly rushing to get into our November book. This is one I've been waiting to read for years. Multiple people have recommended it. I'm so happy that we have got the book club set at last.


Our book is A Man Called Ove,  written by Fredrik Backman.    



Book Club meeting will be on November 12, 2019.    

The next meeting after that will be in January.

Cooler weather and shorter days means lots more time to cozy up with a good book.    At October's book club meeting, we'll be discussing "The Best Kind of People" by Zoe Whittall.

September 2019 - When Breath Becomes Air


When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi is our first book for our 2019-2020 season. 

We will be discussing this book on September 24th at 8pm at Lan's. 

Also fyi,  the BVA is having their annual shredding day on Saturday Sept 21  from 9am to noon. See the BVA newsletter for the location.

 This year we are holding a book swap at the same time.  This is a great opportunity to unload some books you are done with and pick up some new ones!
