The Rosie Project - November 2022

 



Our November book is The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion.     We have the book club set so please contact me if you would like a copy.  

You can borrow a copy from the Toronto Public Library or buy one from Chapters-Indigo.

Pachinko - October 2022




This month we're reading Pachinko by Min Jin Lee.     I have the book club set - contact me if you need a copy.      It's a long book and we'll be meeting at the end of October to discuss.  The book club set is due back November 1.  If the weather is decent enough, we'll meet outside (dress warm and bring a blanket!)

The meeting will be at 2pm on Wednesday, October 26.     If the weather is not cooperative, then we'll be on ZOOM at 8pm.

The book is being made into a tv series - if you have Apple TV - you can watch the first season

The Mystery of Mrs. Christie - September 2022

 



The Mystery of Mrs. Christie by Marie Benedict is our September selection.   Mrs. Christie is the renowned mystery author, Agatha Christie, who went missing for 11 days in 1926.

This book is available at the Toronto Public Library.

The Violin Conspiracy - August 2022


 


Our August book selection is The Violin Conspiracy by Brendan Slocumb.     

We'll be discussing this book IN-PERSON on August 23 at 2pm in Jane's backyard.

The Booker Prize 2022 Long List has been released.  Last month's book 'Oh William' is on the list.

Oh William - July 2022

 



This month's book selection is Oh William by Elizabeth Strout.    William is the first husband of character Lucy Barton, who previously appeared in My Name is Lucy Barton.
